Kathleen Springs, Watarrka, 16 June.

Lazy day on the 16th, driving, walked Kathleen Springs. It used to be used for cattle. Set up at Kings Canyon Resort, where half the stuff does not work.
Right: the welcoming committee.
Met a French guy Alex, and his English girlfriend. They're in a Patrol with gas and petrol tanks, but it seems to chew about 20 l/100kms, which is pretty crazy. They don't plan to keep going, as they need to fill up somewhere with the right fuel.
Also met John who is travelling with 3 kids. He's a security officer working for the police. They mainly target fare evaders on public transport. They access the police database. A lot of crims use PT it seems, so the police are very happy to have the extra help to get people with outstanding warrants on them.
