Erldunda roadhouse 10-11 June then onto Yulara

At Erldunda for the day/2 nights, some schoolwork, feed the animals: camels, roos and a chicken. They love carrot peels, turnip peels, almonds.

Camels love pine cones off the ground, or really probably any old thing. The chicken is a bit fussy and won't go for lettuce leaves unless Lou plucks them into small pieces.
Left: I'm a convert to camels. They will eat right off your hand and are tremendously careful not to bite you.
Roll onto Uluru. En route, see Mount Connor, a spectacular tabletop mountain like Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind.
Tried driving closer. The scenery of a long quartz topped gorge, tumbled up huge rocks, and green is spectacular.
On the other side of the road is some massive salt lake. Seems there are a few of them.
Traffic in and out of Uluru is continuous.

Went for a run on the lake with Lou. It was pretty salty.
