2017 April footy

1. Ollie is so into League that we went out to practice a bit.

2. Ollie makes a break for it! 8th April at Dural. Jai, the guy who needs a whole team to stop, chases him.

3. Ollie gets stopped after a good run.

4. More from the big game

5. A fight for the ball.

2017 April pt 2

1. over at Ang's; Marie, Lou, Vonne, Ang, Zdenka, Anna.

2. fun in the park with David and Michael. Louis's out to the left, Ollie's on the right of the shot. Kevin would be there somewhere.

3. Ollie started playing Rugby League. He really likes it. Any time he gets hurt, we just say oh maybe you should come off or skip footy, and then he's fine immediately.

4. Thyae and Maysanne. They've headed off to Abu Dhabi for plane maintenance work. Not much in Oz, and it's getting less it seems as airlines chase the cheaper deals.

5. Old glory, my late 80s bike from around 1988 is still going strong. Still an awesome ride. Did about 100kms this week on it to work.

6. with Ollie to pick up something from the shop, maybe skins the running shorts that boost circulation or some such. Maybe the green kicking tees.

2017 April

1. couch racing in the alley. In the apartment boom, people are leaving their stuff in the alley. We all had a turn until I worked out that the little plastic wheels can't take an 85kg man down a bitumen slope.

2. Another cousin sleepover. Singing monkeying around etc

3. Louis's turn. Can't remember but it looked like fun

4. At work, from left; Petr, Simon, Lee grinning, Michel the cabinet Nazi, and Brian resident yoga master and general Citect sage.

5. Burger night, cousin sleep over part 2

6. Date night, down in the Rocks at the old Mercantile pub

2017 March

1. Sitting next to Michel at work. He is a stickler for not sticking stuff on his cabinet. Lee couldn't resist putting a coffee on the sign.

2. People parking across the path grrr.
This is on my way home to work. I used to use this path, now I go to the right side of the park for less traffic, less parking people.

3. some portrait shots to try to get one useful mug shot. Mission not achieved.

4. this shot is too goofy

5. this shot is out of focus. I'm blinking.

6. smiling too much, out of focus

7. Lego masterpieces on the blog for posterity

8. domestic bliss means having all electrical cables tied up and down the box with the sewer pipe. Way neater, happy with the job.

9. Car share program - for the first year and a half being back, until we got a car (Prius 25 May 2016), we used a car share. Even now it helps if we needed to do 2 different things, or get a ute. People hire out their private vehicles, we hire them, and the share company gets a cut. Everyone wins out.

10. Trying to be tourists in our own town. Alice brought her box browny. She takes some great shots. I should ask for some. One day...

11. Too much construction around here.  At some stage it will all crash. But they've been predicting a crash for ten years, so we've been a long time wrong. Can't wait for the head shakes and wisdom when it finally does.

12. Too much traffic on Pacific Highway. Clearly the answer to too many cars is to get rid of some by bike way, bus and best of all tram or train.

13. Date night! Poor Marie has to put up with me ranting. I should get another hobby besides politics.

2017 February

A catch up post.

1. left; 12 Feb - Tess, Belle, Ollie and Will, lunch for John's birthday, at North Ryde RSL

2. right: some extra bats for the boys bedroom

3. left; the cousins staying over

It's a great thing to have cousins, more fun for everyone, plus we get babysitting when we want a night out.

4. right: with Ellen, Ollie, Lou, Alice, Marie, Ted

We recently stayed at Stephane and Catherine's for a couple of nights near Paris in January. Not even a month later, Alice stayed over in Australia for about 6 months, including a few weeks at our place. She got a job in a cafe at GG's, then went around Alice Springs, Perth and Cairns plus the reef. Nice.

5. left Ollie with the $17 veggie kebabs

Tom and Melissa's wedding was in Byron. We stayed in a great apartment not far to walk to the beach. The ceremony was on a plantation high up on the mountain, looking over the surrounding rolling hills. Too much wine, followed by too much peaty delicious whiskey, then rolled home on an old double decker bus, while Tony did flips with his feet running along the roof by holding the hand rails. Luckily they made them strong back in the day.

6. left the cats of Luke Freeman. He had a fund raiser where he had to eat for $2 a day. He told the stories of where he shopped and what foods he could eat, and how to keep the nutrition up a bit. Eat more nuts and less sugar everyone.

Back home again

Note to readers; I've updated some photos, so if keen, have another look at my posts for January.

1. left; the pub at Petersham near the station with Anna, Mari, Vonne, Tony

Spent the afternoon at Vonnie's with the kids her, Tony and Anna. Dinner at the local pub, and home a wee bit late. Slept well that night!!

2. at the cousins place

3. left; Maroubra beach
Made it to the beach Sunday.

Back to work this week, boo hoo. Still feeling relaxed though, and luckily it's not been busy.

Friday night, had a beer with Justin. Saturday, it's back to shouting at the kids for a bit to try to get them to clean up.

We have Mel and Tom's wedding to look forward to in 3 weeks.
