2021-November

The final product! Well at least 99 percent there. Just need the hinges at the back so the seats could swing up for the storage part. Very popular with the dogs, who are dirtying it up with backyard debris v quickly.
The final cover being sewn by Marie.
Sanding down the front panel. This was from a piece of ply that Marie found for free of the FB marketplace. Most of the unit is recycled timber. The frame comes from the hardwood ribs in our roof that were taken out to convert it to storage. Sanding out the panel for a tight fit takes forever. This unit took about 20 something weeks to build.
Augie dog and Goldie at Petersham Park. They get on so well. Today Augie was licking Goldie's face, while Goldie tried to swing out of the way to no avail.
The old alcohol collection. Some odd stuff, courtesy of my Mum.
Colin and Augie.
Goldie supervises the front yard work. New plants, new path.
Louis gonna go down the old town road, gonna ride til he can't no more. Local Petersham Park, dog central.
At Auburn, next to the train station, feasting on, until we go to see Shang-Chi, legend of the ten rings movie. It was very good, food was not bad.

2021-October

Picnic central at Petersham Park. There were people all over the place. It was like a n outdoor pub.
Picnic with the Miranda family. Anna came, along with Penny. She had some corn cobs, then we rang Evonne, who looked it up, bad for dogs, so Penny had to go to the vets to have it pumped out. Poor Penny!
Goldie snaps to attention when we're about to throw the ball. Good dog!
The seats in prep for the couch / storage unit next to the kitchen.
Scoobie v Tex in the tyred old game of tug o war at the local park, aka dog central.
Akemi, Lou and Esteban.
At the Wild Rover, up at the bar. Met a Malaysian girl and her Irish husband. He had to convert to Islam before they could get married. He had to learn some Arabic saying, was fun to get him to repeat it.
Jesse's farewell from work at North Ryde RSL.
Augie dog having a sleepover at ours again.
Sourced some recycled timber. The guy put the pieces through the machine to take the surface off.
And voila, the result, a bench with new recycled timber slat seating. Just needs an oil and a bit of paint.
Halloween in our street! Very popular, hordes of kids, kilos of chocolate treats.

2021-September

At left with the lockdown doggie. She is very good, likes to hang out watching a movie.
Dogs of Petersham Park: this one is called Muffin. He is owned by Has and Amir, nice guys. She was a troubled dog. When they first got her, they thought, they wouldn't keep her because they need a dog that actually interacts and shows some affection. Eventually, she came around and would let them pat her. She is a beautiful doggo now.
The black dog is Dashie, the brown one is Scoobie. they're both top dogs, full of beans, the owners Ollie, Xavier and Tan are regulars at the park. Weve met a tonne of people down there.
During lockdown, you couldn't have guests inside your house, so a lot of people just had little parties in the street.

Here we are with the neighbours, me Marie, Jamie, Connaugh, Tony and Christina , with Jasper and Valkyrie on the scooters.

Day dreaming about getting the front garden path done, with Goldie giving some support.
Our Ollie takes a break for lunch.
Cousin Charlie taking forever to finish his lunch.
Me on jab number two. Hooray we've done it.
Backyard fence half complete. My secret: have a beer and just get the thing done!!
Lockdown picnics are making the park packed, v fun.
Our picnic with Riet and Goldie.
Girls night out at the local train station, nice work. Candle lit drinks a la dodgy, never to be repeated in a public place like that I think.

Nerw train station lift and works are done.
Fathers day food in a box from a closed restaurant.

Morning ride within the 5km radius, to Balmain.
Roof is done
Me and my new trolley
Morning run before work.
