Millstream Chichester National Park

Rolled onto Millstream Chichester National Park. There is a beautiful old homestead from when it was a cattle station. Near the homestead, there are a few streams and some wetlands. The old date palms have all been cut down, as they're introduced, not native. It looks like a bit of a disaster zone at the moment.
Nearby there is the Deep water swimming hole, with a pile of catfish. You can have fun by flicking drops of water or bits of sticks to the fish. They all go nuts swarming the surface. We should have brought some bread to get them going for real. That's some smart fish. Not a bad spot for a dip either. Amazing the water in the semi arid regions.
In the park, there is Mount Herbert.
It's got a great view over the area. Everyone climbed up, as it wasn't too high.

A bit further down the road, or a few km worth of walk, you hit Python Pool. Walking around, you would not believe that there could be anything more than dirt, drought resistant shrubs and rock.
Then a bit further down the path, a permanent water source is there, even though it is bone dry everywhere else.
