Arkaroola Village

Camping at Arkaroola. Pretty clever marketing to call it a village.

Arkaroola village is a restaurant/small shop/servo in one, a hotel, and a decent size camp ground. It's an eco resort separate to the national park. As we pull up into camp, there's a family with 2 kids of similar age; Mila and Juda.

Around the campsite.
Feeding time for the Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies.

The next day we are join them, and their folks Mario and Hanna, for a 4wd tour; a gorgeous walk in the Bararrana gorge, then 4 hours of punishment to get to the hot springs to the north. It's an interesting few minutes, but we're too exhausted to be excited.

Nearing dusk, ahead there is a broken down car. We can't get past. There's a big line of fluid they've dropped. IT's not looking good.

Mario gets under the bonnet, and starts looking for the leak. We get the owner, Lauro, to start the engine and turn the wheel back and forth. There's sprays of steering fluid.

I have no idea, but Mario finds it, tightens the nut, pours fluid back in and we're away again after dark.

This settles how we get out of here: no 4wd ing, just regular dirt road please. And those corrugations are bad enough.
The road to adventure, it's slow and painful.
