2021-Christmas

Work end of year function. I spoke with the head of automation, Mauro, and asked him what section he worked in. Danesh had a good laugh at that. Eeeh I've got no idea.

 Erandi, Lian, Syed and Danesh

Me, Irfan, Chris the former boss, Danesh, one of the service guys and Maheera.
Lou's last day at school. Every year the younger students form a tunnel for the yr 6s to leave through. What a nice little place.
Goldie goes nuts when we water the garden.
Christmas was at our place. Funny enough we could fit everyone in ok, some 30 odd people. This place is the tardis.
Julie, Ang, John, Evonne and Marie; I snapped this but it was probs the only time everyone was checking something.
Boxing day at Peters with Oli, Marie and Fil.
Mystery guest, John, Peter and David.
We looked after Penny for a day and evening. She slept on our bed. Too bad for the cats.
People from the local park; Colin, Simon, Tan, Marie and me.
Simon and Tex, one mellow dog despite being a crazy looking Staffy dog.
Bill and Sharn were down from Qld for Christmas. Plans were to go to the park but with the rain, we just had ppl to ours.

Kate, Riet, me, Sharn, Bill, Foges and Marie.

Happy New Year! All the people with kids partied on until at least like 9pm or something.

Connaugh, Robin, her husband, the back of Marie, the hosts Christina and Tony.

This shots a bit clearer. A nice time had by all.
Our Christmas card - Merry Christmas everybodyyyy.

2021-December trip to Canberra

We went away to visit Tom, Kasey and Leo to see their new baby Fox. Lucky the trip went without a hitch, no contagion.

Here we are in Kingston, which is a really nice spot, not far from where we were staying.

The Historic Kingston Power House which is the home of the Canberra Glassworks.
We had some breakfast with the family, then wandered to the foreshore to check out glass being made.
IN the arfternoon, we wandered along the lake. Here we are at the National Rose Gardens. Not bad.
Oli did a fast lap of the place.
Oli at the old Parliament House.
At the time there was a cartoon exhibition, never complimentary on how the country is being run. I think the boys liked them.
Which was a life saver, as the chambers of the house were not a hit.
This place was always meant to be a temporary home of Parliament. In my opinion, it's a total waste of a building, but our leaders with their snouts ever in the trough would like a much bigger more luxurious place. It would say a lot if they just economised and made use of this place.
Plenty of interesting old machines on display. Oli showing his favourite finger, nice work, almost got a photo without.
On the way back.
Leo, Tom, Kasey and lastly Fox.

2021-December

More dog sitting; seems we don't mind. Augie dog is a fun beast. Goldie loves him. When they're at the park, whoever barks first, once the second dog would arrive at the park, the other, no matter where they are, will run to find the other one. Usually, that's us arriving, Goldie barking and Augie running from wherever the hell and arriving like magic, while his owner is left scratching his head wondering where the dog went.
Charlie's birthday at the tepanyaki place in Enmore. Everyone had a great time catching the food or wearing it. Mainly watching other people either eat or have it on their clothes was the main fun.
Looks like Holly caught this one...
Evonne, Sev, Brett, Jack and Charlie the man himself.
Augie dog can't help himself but look good, while our lazy dog sorta droops around the place. Mind you she is sparkling when we're at the park. She is one popular dog.
Finally got round to putting in a bench in the garden, phew what a relief, and not much work at all to do. The perfect project.
Proud contributor sits on the near finished product.
It was Marie's idea to pull the left over planks out of the garage. They were offcuts from the front veranda. As you can see, they fit just perfectly. Just needed a small trim off, three planks under and voila a new bench.
Charlie's birthday on the day at Charlie's house with Ollie, Lola, Holly, and Charlie with Marie on the right.
Charlie, Holly obscured, Ollie, Sev at the end of the bench, Jack in the background and Brett stands with his hand on his hip.

2021-November

The final product! Well at least 99 percent there. Just need the hinges at the back so the seats could swing up for the storage part. Very popular with the dogs, who are dirtying it up with backyard debris v quickly.
The final cover being sewn by Marie.
Sanding down the front panel. This was from a piece of ply that Marie found for free of the FB marketplace. Most of the unit is recycled timber. The frame comes from the hardwood ribs in our roof that were taken out to convert it to storage. Sanding out the panel for a tight fit takes forever. This unit took about 20 something weeks to build.
Augie dog and Goldie at Petersham Park. They get on so well. Today Augie was licking Goldie's face, while Goldie tried to swing out of the way to no avail.
The old alcohol collection. Some odd stuff, courtesy of my Mum.
Colin and Augie.
Goldie supervises the front yard work. New plants, new path.
Louis gonna go down the old town road, gonna ride til he can't no more. Local Petersham Park, dog central.
At Auburn, next to the train station, feasting on, until we go to see Shang-Chi, legend of the ten rings movie. It was very good, food was not bad.

2021-October

Picnic central at Petersham Park. There were people all over the place. It was like a n outdoor pub.
Picnic with the Miranda family. Anna came, along with Penny. She had some corn cobs, then we rang Evonne, who looked it up, bad for dogs, so Penny had to go to the vets to have it pumped out. Poor Penny!
Goldie snaps to attention when we're about to throw the ball. Good dog!
The seats in prep for the couch / storage unit next to the kitchen.
Scoobie v Tex in the tyred old game of tug o war at the local park, aka dog central.
Akemi, Lou and Esteban.
At the Wild Rover, up at the bar. Met a Malaysian girl and her Irish husband. He had to convert to Islam before they could get married. He had to learn some Arabic saying, was fun to get him to repeat it.
Jesse's farewell from work at North Ryde RSL.
Augie dog having a sleepover at ours again.
Sourced some recycled timber. The guy put the pieces through the machine to take the surface off.
And voila, the result, a bench with new recycled timber slat seating. Just needs an oil and a bit of paint.
Halloween in our street! Very popular, hordes of kids, kilos of chocolate treats.
