2017 Sept 2 - Ollie's grand final

Left: trainer Steve and the team group up to chat tactics before the game.

Ollie's team finished 4th in the comp, which means they got to go in the second section grand final. Their opponents were way bigger than us, and stopping them was pretty hard. A few missed tackles, and they got ahead.

Right: running on at historic North Sydney Oval. It must have been a real treat for the guys.

The boys did very well on the whole. We have some great players. Am looking forward to seeing Ollie play next season. He wants to do Austag during summer, so fingers crossed, that will give him some more skills in the game.

Left: covering defence filling the gap.

Right: Ollie got a chance to run after one of their tries.

Left: getting caught by one defender.

Right: caught but still running.

Left: caught by 3 more, still moving forward.

Right: red line not in sight in the first shot, but with all the defenders hanging on, Ollie pushed on to it. Nice one Ollie!

Left: in formation, ready to receive a kick off.

Right: Ollie in the second half was dummy half.

Left: speed daemon running into position.

Right: afterwards with the medal. A nice finish to the season.

2017 Sept a

September was busy!

Left: Kim chi at a Korean restaurant in Eastwood. One guy calls this area Eats wood. There are a heap of great restaurants. We just discovered it now, while looking for somewhere new for lunch at work. Me and Michel have popped out this way about 3 times, eating at a different place each time, and it's been a real hit each time. Very authentic, and excellent.

Right: we noticed that where we play footie is Brothers Avenue. Much like the footie club itself; maybe the street was named after the club formed?

Left: grand final day! Ollie's team came 4th, so they got to go to North Sydney oval and play in front of a great crowd. An excellent day, but sadly they just missed out this time, playing moderately valiantly. The other guys were huge.

Right: father's day with turkish toast, ricotta, berries, strawberries, 3rd Sept. Thanks hon!!

Left: awesome brekky. Everyone ate well.

Right: then later, we ate more. I requested yum cha, which has to be my favourite food ever.

Left: not sure if the boys enjoyed as much, but they did have fun with the phone.

Right: selfie by Ollie with Holly and Lola.

Left: on a quick stop at Fran's I asked if I could grab a couple of board games. Cluedo was one. The boys have had a few good games with it. Our nanny Margaux, it was one of her faves, so they've had a few games as well.

Right: for the last shot of the post, the regular shot of the cat. She's so handsome, a regular shot is obligatory.

2017 August c

Left: our chairs were looking a BIT shabby. Some excellent work here by the boys.

Right: Ollie shows the current state of the cushion in the chair: not good.

Left: a new plywood base, new foam, great locally made fabric, and some know how from Marie. Now she's quit her job, things are starting to happen that have long been on our backburner.

Right: the Brothers Rugby League team at the end of the season, awesomely coached by Andrew and Steve.

Left: bushwalking with the cousins, and learning how to fix things with the camera. A bit blue here.

Right: now that looks better. Same bush walk.

And a few more shots, same day, below. All good.

2017 August b

Left: Ollie's football adventures continue

Right: Louis, Danny, and David at a park in Chatswood.

Left: bowling for Lola, Holly and Ollie's birthday

Right: more bowling action. Got way too much food

Left: on the campaign trail!! I ran for council and got 89 votes. That's better than any other individual, but unfortunately still 2200 short of getting in. Most votes came in above the line. Maybe next time I will form a team, and just put out material on the day. The Lib Dems got one councillor in, which is a complete joke, as they did not spend one cent on advertising, materials, or even bothering to show up on election day. Not sure what they will do with their time on council.

Right: babysitting with the cousins. Chocolate galore, melted, with fruit. Nice one.

Left: at Mill's house, with Ollie, Darcy chopped, Ava, me, Mill and Lou also chopped a bit.

Right: Marie lays out some great plans for something or other.

Left: selfie action with Belle, Tess, me and Lou

Right: serious trampoline action with the boys

Left: scary Auntie Marie threatens to tickle Darcy

Right: Marie, Belle, Will in the fetching hat, Ceal.

2017 August

Left: at Laurens and Anke's with Kevin Michael David, and Bushan Archie, Arush and Rohan

Right: Anke and Laurens

Left; bushwalk with Andy near his place

Right: me and Andy

Left: me and Ollie out shopping at Chatswood.

Right: the cat is feeling at home.
